October 01, 2025•2 min read

If you're one of the millions suffering from the sharp, stabbing pain of PLANTAR FASCIITIS🦶…

…you're probably desperate to find ways to find relief.

While resting your feet may seem like the logical solution…

…the truth is that the right exercises can be one of the best treatments for this common foot condition.

The key is to focus on exercises that stretch and strengthen the muscles and connective tissues in your feet and lower legs.

Here Are The Top 5 Exercises For PLANTAR FASCIITIS🦶

Exercises #1 - Calf Raises

Strengthening the calf muscles takes tension off the plantar fascia.

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, lift on your toes, hold for a second, then lower back down.

Aim for 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps.

Exercises #2 - Plantar Fascia Stretches

Gently stretching the plantar fascia itself is crucial.

Sit with your affected foot crossed over your other knee.

Use your hand to pull your toes back towards your shin, feeling the stretch along the bottom of your foot.

Exercises #3 - Achilles Tendon Stretches

The Achilles tendon connects your calf muscles to your heel bone, so keeping it flexible is important.

Face a wall, place your hands on the wall at shoulder height, and lean in while keeping your heels on the ground.

Exercises #4 - Toe Curls

This simple exercise helps strengthen the small intrinsic muscles in your feet.

Sit or stand, curl your toes down, then spread them back out.

Repeat 10-15 times.

Exercises #5 - Resistance Band Exercises

Using resistance bands to work the foot and ankle muscles helps stabilize the plantar fascia.

Try to resist dorsiflexion, eversion, and inversion movements.

The key is to start slowly and be consistent with your exercise routine.

Avoid high-impact activities that cause sharp pain.

Over time, these targeted exercises can help reduce inflammation, improve mobility, and get you back on your feet.
